Portrait of Reed

I finally got pictures of the painting I did about two years ago of Sharon Gilchrist's grandson Reed.   I brought it to her before getting photos of it, so it almost got away from me.  Reed is now three years old.  I am working on another portrait for Sharon that incudes Reed along with Summer (his mother and Sharon's daughter), and Sharon.  Hopefully I will be able to post that one soon.
Reed is oil on a 16" x 20" gallery wrapped canvas.  If you would like a portrait done please email me at sassyfrasinn@yahoo.com for information.

Cara and Greg

I finished this portrait of Cara and Greg Hammons just in time for her to give it to Greg for Christmas.  I truly love doing portraits, especially when the people who commission one really loves the finished painting.  I hope to get more of these commissions in the coming months.

Gun Fighter

I only have a couple of things left to do on this one and then I have to find a really nice frame.  Hopefully it will get hung in  the Bean and Burger Restaurant in Canton, Texas with several of my other paintings.  And with any luck, maybe someone will want to actually buy it!  This is an oil on gallery wrapped canvas  24" x 48".  If you are interested contact me at sassyfrasinn@yahoo.com for pricing.

Close Companions

This painting was just finished in the Monday night painting class I teach.  It is from a print of an old painting found at an antique auction.  The print was very dark and you could hardly see the horse.  I used much brighter colors and also left out all the gravel that had been painted on the ground (horses don't like rocks getting in their hooves).  It was a fun project for the ladies to paint even though it was a bit tough for them.  Still all in all everyone's painting turned out great.  This is painted in oil on a 24" x 36" gallery wrapped canvas and is for sale.  You can contact my at sassyfrasinn@yahoo.com for pricing.

Saddle Up Santa

Here is the Santa painting we did in Monday night class for Christmas 2011.  This one was a challenge for the ladies due to all of the many different colors used in the back ground as well as the white horse.  I guess next year they will choose something a little simpler.  This is painted on a 16" x 20" gallery wrapped canvas.
