Bears Progressing

I know I am late posting these bears. This is the progress from two Mondays ago. Last Monday I forgot to take photos in class, so there will be no pictures of that stage. We didn't get very much further due to there being so much more detail in the head of the bear. This coming Monday we will finish the paintings and I will post the final results. This has been a bit of a challenge for the ladies, but as you can see they are doing great with all of the fur. The first picture is Sharon's, then Debbie's, and mine is last.

Polar Bear Under Painting

We finished doing the under painting a week ago, but I am just now finding the time to post them. My painting is first, then Debbie's, then Sharon's.
This week we started over painting the fur, but I didn't get pictures on Monday night, so I will take the pictures of that stage this Friday and try to post them this weekend.
I am so pleased with the way each panting is turning out. These two ladies have learned so much in the two years that they have been taking classes. I am very proud of them.

Bear Beginnings

Here is the new project for my Monday night painting class. This is the beginning of the under painting stage of a polar bear. First painting is Sharon's, then mine, and then Debbie's. These are being painted in oil on 16" x 20" gallery wrapped canvas.

Wolves in Progress

Sharon and I finished the under painting portion of our wolves and also did some over painting on the back ground yesterday. Mine painting is on the left and Sharon's is on the right. I also posted this photo of the drawing I did of Kamotts that was used for this painting.

Sharon's Santa

Sharon did some more work on her santa and wanted me to post the final result. Now all she needs is to frame it.

This is a photo of a little still life that I set up to paint. I know Christmas is over, but I still want to complete the painting. I think it will be a nice little painting and will post it as soon as it is done.
